Samsung wave 2 is quiet a large device compared to Wildfire S which has a very compact design but Wave 2 is quiet thinner than the competitor having thickness of 11.8mm compared to 12.4mm of Wildfire S Wildfire S is lighter in weight though, it weights only 105g compared to 135g of Wave 2. These are two phones have completely different designs and your choice will depend on whether you want the lighter and smaller one or one this is thinner and longer.
Display:
Wave 2 features a super clear LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M color support, Wildfire S has the old TFT capacitive touchscreen with 256K colors. The super clear LCD of Wave 2 offers far superior display than that of Wildfire S. Wave 2 also has a much larger 3.7 inch screen compared to 3.2 inch screen size of Wildfire S.
Processor And OS:
Wave 2 again leads the way with 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, powered by Power VR GPU. Wildfire S only has 600 MHz of processor. Wave 2 has the Samsung‘s own Bada v1.2 OS where as Wildfire S runs Android 2.3(Gingerbread). For Apps Savvy users Android will surely be the first choice as Bada doesn’t have the App store as developed as that of Android.
Camera:
Both phones feature a 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash and resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels but Wave2 has the upper hand when it comes to video recording capability. Wave 2 is able to record HD 720p video at 30fps whereas Wlidfire S record VGA video at 24fps. Wave 2 camera also offer features such as geo-tagging, face, smile and blink detection, touch focus and image stabilization. Wildfire S only features geo-tagging.
Storage Capacity:
Wildfire S has internal storage capacity 512MB and same amount of RAM to go with it. Wave 2 has greater internal storage capacity with 2GB. Both phones support memory extension via micro SD memory card.
