Size and Looks:
Ideos X5 can be rated as something of a plastic fantastic mess. The body is made up of soft touch plastic with round edges giving you a pleasure able feeling when held. The phone is 120mm in length, 62mm in width and 11.6 mm when it comes to thickness. It weighs 130g.
Ideos X5 features a giant 3.8 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and 16M color support. The LCD display is definitely an upgrade compared to the other smart phones around the same price range. It also has features such as accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, Multi-touch input method, Proximity sensor for auto turn-off, Fingerprint-resistant surface and capacitive Touch-sensitive controls which at times are a little annoying, not functioning when tapped.
Processor and OS:
It features an 800 MHz Scorpion processor powered by Adreno 205 GPU on a Qualcomm MSM 7230 chipset. Considering that it features a slightly older version of Android that is Android2.2 (Froyo) you couldn’t have asked for more.
It features a decent 5MP camera having maximum image resolution of 2592х1944 pixels with autofocus and LED flash. It is able to record HD 720p video at 30fps. There isn’t a secondary video call camera and not too many other camera features except geo-tagging.
It comes in 2GB and 4GB variants of internal memory having 512MB of RAM and a card slot. The memory can be extended via SD memory card up to 32GB.
It comes with EDGE and 3G supports with Wi-Fi Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and EDR and micro USB 2.0.
