HTC Mobiles recently launched their latest HTC Android Smartphone in India known as HTC Sensation XL at Rs.38,800. Sensation XL is a large display android smartphone with 4.7 Inch Super LCD Screen, 1.5 Ghz Scorpion processor, 8 MP rear camera and 1.3 MP front camera. It operates on the latest Android 2.3 gingerbread operating system. In this post we will talk about most of the features, specs and highlights of HTC Sensation XL.

Display:

It features an S-LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. The maximum display resolution is 480 x 800 pixels and what we have in sensation is a sensationally giant 4.7 inches screen. The pixel density is 199 ppi and display is powered by HTC sense UI 3.5. There is accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotatea proximity sensor for auto turn-off, support for, Multi-touch input method, gyroscope sensor and touch sensitive controls.

Size and Design:

The phone has a slim design but it is quiet wide and heavy. The length is 132.5mm and the width is 70.7mm but it is only 9.9mm thick and Weights only about 162.5g.

Camera:

It features an8 MP camera with maximum image resolution of 3264x2448 pixels. The camera is autofocus with dual-LED flash. It supports Geo-tagging . The video recording capability of Sensation is 720p but with an 8MP camera one would have expected 1080p video. There is a 1.3 MPsecondary video call camera.

Processor and OS:

It runs Android OS, v2.3 (Gingerbread) on a 1.5 GHz Scorpion processor powered by Adreno 205 GPU on Qualcomm MSM8255 chipset.

Connectivity:

It supports 3G connectivity withHSDPA, 14.4 Mbps and HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with DLNA and Wi-Fi hotspot ,Bluetoothv3.0 with A2DP and microUSB v2.0

Storage Capacity:

The internal storage capacity of the phone is 16 GB storage and there is 768 MB RAM. The external memory can be extended up to 32 GB with the help of microSD card.

Battery:

The Standard Li-Ion 1600 mAhbattery is capable of providing up to 460 h of standby time on(3G) andTalk time Up to 6 h 50 min n 3G.

Other Features:

Other important features of the phone includes GPS support with A-GPS, JAVA with MIDP emulator, digital compass , social networking integration, active noise cancellation with dedicated mic and google maps and stereo FM radio with RDS.
