HTC Mobiles India recently launched its latest Android powered smartphone in India, the HTC Rhyme. Rhyme is a Android 2.3 Gingerbread powered smartphone with 1 Ghz Qualcomm Scorpion processor, it features a 3.7 Inch touchscreen, 5MP Camera and 0.3 MP camera for video calling. Size and Design:

HTC known for producing the most elegant and innovative design, produces yet another adorable one for the Rhyme. The phone is meant for the fashion targeted audience but still has decent features. The phone weighs 130g and is just 10.9mm thick.

Display:

It features a S-LCD capacitive touch screen having a resolution of 480*800 pixels. The screen size is 3.7 inch which means it has a pixel density of 252ppi. The display is powered by HTC sense UI. It also features the Multitouch.

Camera:

Rhyme features a 5Mp camera with maximum image resolution of 2592*1944 pixels. The camera has the auto focus and LED flash. There are aren’t any image enhancing features in the phone, it does feature geo-tagging though. The video recording ability of the phone is 720p. There is also a VGA camera for video calling.

Storage Capacity:

The internal storage capacity of the phone is 4GB. It also has a memory card slot which allows the memory extension up to 32GB via microSD memory card. A good news is that a an 8GB card in included in the pack.

Processor and OS:

It features Android OS v 2.3(Gingerbread). The processing power of the Rhyme is 1Ghz powered by Adreno 205 GPU and 768MB of RAM . The chipset used in the phone is the commonly used Qualcomm MSM8255.

Connectivity:

It supports the EDGE and 3G connectivity, follows IEEE standards of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Wi-Fi Hotspot and DLNA. The Bluetooth version is 3.0 with A2DP and EDR and supports micro USB 2.0. It also features GPS connectivity with A-GPS support.

Battery:

The 1600mAH Li-Ion battery is capable of providing up to 8hrs of talk time and up to 340 h of standby time on 3G coverage.

Other Features:

The smart phone also features Stereo FM radio with RDS. It supports JAVA apps, features active noise cancellation with dedicated mic. It has integrated Youtube, Google Talk and Picasa. It is available in Clearwater, Hourglass and Plum colors.
