Sony Ericsson India recently launched their latest Android smartphone in India by the name Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S, it is an enhanced version of previously launched Xperia Arc. Size and Design:

The smart phone has the most elegant of the design that you’ll find in the Xperia smart phones. It is just 8.7mm thick and weighs just 117g. It is 125mm long and has 63mm wide.

Display:

It features a 4.2 inch LED Backlite LCD capacitive touch screen having a resolution of 480*854 pixels and 16M color support. The screen supports multitouch and has scratch resistant glass. The display is powered by Sony Mobile Bravia Engine and Timescape UI.

Camera:

Arc S features an 8MP autofocus camera having image resolution of 3264*2448 pixels with LED flash. It also features video calling, touch focus, geo-tagging, face and smile detection, image stabilization feature and 3D sweep panorama. It doesn’t feature a secondary camera. The video recording capability of the phone is 720P @ 30fps. It is able to capture video with continuous autofocus and video light.

Connectivity:

The phone supports EDGE and 3G coverage. It has Wi-Fi with DLNA and Wi-Fi hotspot feature. Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP is accompanied by EDR and micro USB 2.0 has USB on the go support too.

Processor and OS:

It features Android OS v2.3.4 (Gingerbread) which can be upgraded to v4.0. The processing power of the phone is 1.4 GHz powered by Adreno 205 GPU on a Qualcomm MSM8255T Snapdragon chipset.

Storage Capacity:

The storage capacity of the phone is 1GB with memory card supported up to 32GB. Out of the 1GB only 320MB is user available and RAM is 512MB.

Battery:

It features standard Lithium 1500mAH battery that is capable of providing up to 7 hour and 35min of talk time on 3G network and Stand by time up to 460hrs. You can also play nonstop music for up to 37hrs.

It also features and HDMI port, a dedicated mic with active noise cancellation, Track ID music recognition, Neo reader barcode scanner and social network integration.
