Galaxy R Vs Galaxy S Plus Mobile Comparison

Samsung Continuous to expand itGalaxy Series with new smart phones and the latest addition comes in the formof Galaxy R and Galaxy S Plus.Both the phones have very similar features,butthe question is then on what basis,we can differentiate these two smartphones.Here’s acomparison between these two phones on the basis of different specificationsand features.
Size and Design:
Both thephones have sleek designs. Galaxy R is much thinner with 9.5mm of depthcompared to 9.9mm of Galaxy S plus but it weighs 135g compared to 119 g ofGalaxy S plus. Along with having giant touch screen both phones also have touchsensitive controls.
Display:
Galaxy Rfeatures SC-LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors and resolution of 480 x800 pixels on a  4.2 inches screen with apixel density of 222 ppi pixel density. It features the TouchWiz UI withscratch resistant glass, Galaxy S plus on the other hand has Super AMOLEDcapacitive touch screen having a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels on a 4.0 inchscreen. It also features the latest TouchWiz UI and the screen is protected byCorning Gorilla Glass.
Camera:
On thecamera front both phones have very much the same features. Their 5MP camera hasthe resolution of 2592*1944 pixels with autofocus. Both of them are able torecord 720p video at 30fps and features video calling, smile detections andgeo-tagging.
Storage Capacity:
BothSamsung Galaxy phones have 8GB of internal storage capacity and 2GB of ROM.Galaxy R has 1GB of RAM whereas Galaxy S plus only has 512MB.
Processor and OS:
Bothphones features the Android OS v2.3(Gingerbread). The processing power ofGalaxy R is 1Ghz dual core and that of Galaxy S is 1.4Ghz. Galaxy R is poweredby ULP GeForce GPU whereas Galaxy S plus has Adreno 205 GPU.
Connectivity:
Again onthe connectivity front both phones of the Galaxy series have similarspecifications featuring Wi-Fi with Hotspot and DLNA, Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DPand micro USB 2.0 support. Both phones support EDGE, 3G and A-GPS connectivity.
Battery:
Bothphones features the standard Li-Ion 1650 battery however there is slightdifference in power consumption of both the phones with Galaxy R having a talktime of 9h compared to almost 8h of Galaxy S. Galaxy R also standby time of620h and that of Galaxy S plus is 430h on 3G network.
Price:
Galaxy Rseems to have a slight edge over Galaxy S Plus however both the phones arepriced around Rs21000.
Conclusion:
 Both the smartphones have almost very similar features,Galaxy R is better in sensors and network,and if we look to Galaxy S Plus it is better in battery performance.
