Samsung has launched the company’s first dualSIM Android phones in the Indian market. Although these are not very high enddevices the dual SIM capabilities of the phone is surely going to be a hugeattraction for Indian fans. The three phones that have been launched includeGalaxy Ace Duos, Galaxy Y Pro Duos, and Galaxy Y Duos.Galaxy Ace Duos powered by ANDROIDOS v2.2 (Froyo) and 800Mhz Processor and priced at Rs.16900.Here we are goingto have a detailed look at Galaxy Ace Duos to find out what it has to offer.
Galaxy Ace Duos has a compact and elegantdesign. It weighs just 122g and is 12.5mm in thickness. The phone has a widthof 59.9mm and is 112.4mm long.
It features a TFT capacitive touchscreen havinga resolution of 320 x 480 pixels with 16M color support. The screen size is 3.5inches and pixel density of 165ppi. The display is not the most sharp but stillquiet good. It is powered by TouchWiz UI and supports Multi touch. It alsofeatures accelerometer, proximity sensor and compass.
It features a 3.15MP camera having maximum imagerecording resolution of 2048*1536 pixels. It is capable of recording video andfeatures geo-tagging.
The internal storage capacity of the phone isnot confirmed but the external storage can be extended up to 32GB via micro SDmemory card up to 32GB.
It features ANDROID OS v2.2 (Froyo). Theprocessing power of the phone is 800MHz on a Qualcomm MSM7627 chipset.
It follows IEEE’s Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n standardsfeaturing Wi-Fi hotspot. There is Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP and micro USB 2.0.It also features GPS with A-GPS support.
Unlike the original galaxy Ace’s 1350mAH batteryIt features 1650 mAH standard Li-Ion battery that is capable of providing up to7 hrs of continuous talk time.
The phone also includes FM radio with RDS, Javawith Java MIDP emulator. The phone has already integrated Youtube, Google Talk,search, Gmail and Picasa.
Newly launched Samsung phones are now availablein all major cities of the country with Galaxy Ace Duos priced around RS 16900.
