Intel hasalready announced its partnership with orange mobile to launch the first intelbased Smartphone in the Europeanmarket. Now it has made a similar deal with Lava International to bring thefirst Intel based smart phone to the Indian Market. The smart phone will come under the name Xolo X900 also called Intel Black Ray. It is based on theIntel’s reference design similarly like the orange phone. Here’s a look at whatthe phone has to offer.
Size and Design:
There is hardlyelegant about the phone but it does feature quiet a sleek and light weightdesign. It weighs just 117g and has a width of 63mm. The phone is just 9.9mmthick and 123mm long
It features a 4.0inch TFT capacitive touchscreen having a resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels. Thedisplay features of the phone are not yet known but we do expect them to be ofhigh quality as Intel and Xolo are looking to make there mark in the alreadyHot Indian smart phone market.
It features an 8MPcamera having the maximum image recording resolution of 3264×2448 pixels. Thecamera has auto focus and LED flash support. It is capacble of recording 1080 pvideo and also has a 1.3MP secondary camera for video calling.
Processor and OS:
The processing powerof the phone is 1600 MHz featuring the Intel Atom Z2460 processor and runs the Android OS v2.3.7(Gingerbread).
It features GPSconnectivity with Assisted, Quick and simultaneous GPS support. It follows Wi-Fi802.11 b/g/n standards. The phone has Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and micro USB2.0 support capable of transferring data at the rate of 480Mbit/s.
The internal storagecapacity has not been confirmed by the manufacturer but the phone will featurea memory card slot supporting microSD, microSDHC and TransFlash.
It features astandard Li-Ion 1460 battery. The battery life is not confirmed yet.
Price and Availability:
There isn’t anyconfirmation from Intel as to when will the phone be launched but it isexpected to be released in the second quarter of this year.
