Nokia 500 Vs HTC Explorer Comparison

Nokia 500 and HTC Explorer are tow mid range smart phones. HTC Explorer features Android 2.3 OS where Nokia 500 ispowered by the Nokia own latest Anna OS.Iam going to compare these two Smartphones on the basis of their features andspecification.This post talks about the comparison of these twophones.

Sizeand Design:
Nokia 500 has an extremely light weight designweighing only 93 g. The design is not the sleekest with the phone having adepth of 14.1mm. It is 53.8mm wide and 111.3mm long.  HTC Explorer on the other hand is much sleekerhaving a depth of 12.9mm but it weighs 108 g with touch sensitive controls.

Display:
Both phones feature 3.2 inch TFT capacitivetouch screen.  Nokia 500, however has amuch sharper display having a resolution of 360*640 pixels and pixel density of229ppi. HTC Explorer has resolution of 320*480 pixels and pixel density of just180 ppi. HTC Explorer features the HTC Sense UI 3.5

Camera:
Nokia 500 features 5MP camera having aresolution of 2592х1944 pixels with VGA video recording capability @ 15fps andfeatures geo-tagging capability. HTC Explorer features 3.15MP camera withmaximum image recording resolution of 2048×1536 with video recording capabilityof 480p. It also features Geo-tagging and face detection feature.

StorageCapacity:
The internal storage capacity of Nokia 500 is2GB and that of HTC Explorer is 90MB. HTC Explorer has 256MB of ROM and that ofNokia 500 is 512MB.

Processorand OS:
Nokia 500 features the Nokia Anna OS having theprocessing power of 1GHz with ARM 11 processor. HTC Explorer features AndroidOS v2.3 (Gingerbread) on a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The processing powerof the phone is 600MHZ with Adreno 200 
GPU.

Connectivity:
Nokia 500 supports both EDGE and 3G and followsWi-Fi 802.11 b/g standards. It has Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and EDR and microUSB 2.0. HTC Explorer has a better connectivity features with Wi-Fi Hotspot,Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP and EDR along with EDGE, 3G and micro USB 2.0 support.

Battery:
Nokia 500 gives up to 5h of talk time and playnon stop Music up to 35h. HTC explorer can provide up to 7h and 33min of talktime.

Conclusion:
Nokia 500 is better according to me as it hasbetter processor,sensor and screen than HTC Explorer and almost same featuresin all areas except OS.
