Nokia is still the no of company when it comes to feature phone but hasn’t has a lot of success in the smart phone market. Now Nokia is aiming at the budget and emerging markets with there new full touch screen feature phone to close the gap to an extent with the smart phones. Nokia claims that the phones have been designed to provide an incredibly rich smart phone like experience at an extremely affordable price with excellent battery performance.
Nokia couldn’t have found a better startup for this purpose than to extend the recently famed Asha series. A no of Asha phones have been announced by the company. We’ll review them all in different posts. This one is about the dual SIM Asha 305 . Here’s a look at the important features and specifications.
Size and Design:
Nokia Asha doesn’t only have a compact design but also quiet sleek and light weight. It is just 12.8mm thick and the real clincher is the light weigh of just 98g.
Asha 305 comes with the new Asha touch UI. It supports a 3.0 inch resistive touch screen which was a bit of a disappointment. We hope it doesn’t do as bad as many of the resistive touch screen phones have done in the past. A reasonable pixel density of 155 means a reasonably sharp display.
It comes with a 2 MP camera with a resolution of 1600×1200 pixels. It is capable of recording video with maximum resolution of 176×144@10fps.
Processor and OS:
Like the other recently launched Asha series phones it runs on the speedy 1 Ghz processor. The processing power is enough to run the apps briskly and shutter free web browsing.
The phone lacks Wi-Fi connectivity. It features Bluetooth v2.1 with EDR and microUSB 2.0
The internal storage capacity of the phone is just 10MB with 64MB of ROM and 32MB of RAM. The memory card is supported upto32GB.
Like promised Nokia Smart phone look a like phones does perform well on the battery front. 1110 mAh battery is capable of providing up to 14 hrs on talk time and 40h of music play.
