Samsung Galaxy S Advance Review In India

Dual core processor sounds really sounds like a thing of past but with the advancement of quad core processor the dual core chips now have a chance to invade the low budget smart phone market.  Samsung makes yet another addition to its Galaxy series smart phones with the announcement of Samsung Galaxy S Advance i9070. The Android mid ranger has decent specifications to match the top contenders for mid-range champion. Let’s take a look at them.

Size and Design:

Galaxy S advance has an exterior made completely out of plastic. However it does not spoil the pleasing look the phone has. The fine texture on the back and thick and bottom provides a nice strong grip. In short,  a decent design for a mid range device. It weighs 120g and has a depth of 9.7mm. The phone is 123.3mm long and 63mm wide.

Display:

It features a 4.0 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a 16M color support and a resolution of 400*800 pixels. The display is quiet sharp and bright with a pixel density of 233ppi. The display is protected by corning Gorilla Glass. It features multi touch and is powered by TouchWiz UI v4.0

Camera:

Glaxay S advance features  a 5MP camera having a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels with auto focus and LED flash. It features touch focus, face and smile detection and geo-tagging. It is capable of recording 720p video @ 30fps. The phone also has a 1.3MP secondary camera.

Processor and OS:

It features Android OS version 2.3.6 (Gingerbread) coupled with a 1Ghz Dual Core processor powered by a Mali-400MP GPU.

Connectivity:

It follows Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n standards with DLNA and Wi-Fi hotspot. There is a Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP and microUSB 2.0. The phone also has an optional NFC integration.

Storage Capacity:

The internal storage capacity of the phone is 8 or 16GB with 768MB of RAM and 2GB of ROM. The external memory is extendable upto 32GB.

Battery:

With 1500mAH battery, you can expect the battery to provide you with a continus 7hr talktime on an average and it can last upto 3 weeks on the standby mode.
