Samsung Galaxy Note Review In India

Samsung is looking to move things ahead with the name “Galaxy” after a successful run with Galaxy S and Galaxy S2. The new Galaxy is a blend of both a smart phone and a tablet and yes that sounds a pretty cool idea. The Galaxy Note as it is called is a perfect blend of performance and features from Samsung. Those who argue about the portability of the phone would be advised to raise their pocket size a bit . If you are geeky enough to have a Bluetooth ear piece you won’t find anything weird about the size.

Size and Design:

Talking of size what we have got is a 178g device which is 147mm long. It is still quiet elegant sleek and stylish having a depth of just 9.7mm and 83mm of width. The phone comes with a S pen to make things easier for you and features touch sensitive controls.


It features a giant 5.3 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen having a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels and a pixel density of 285ppi. The display is easily the biggest among the smart phones around. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and powered by TouchWiz UI v4.0


The Big Mac has an 8MP camera with a resolution of 3264×2448 pixels, autofocus and LED flash. It features face and smile detection, image stabilization, touch focus and geo-tagging. The video recording capability is 1080p @ 30fps. There is also a secondary 2MP camera inside.

Processor and OS:

It features android OS, v2.3.5 (Gingerbread) which is planned to be upgraded to v4.x.  It is powered by a 1.4GhzDual Core Cortex A9 CPU with Mali- 400MP GPU. Connectivity:

The internal storage capacity of the phone is 16 or 32GB with 1 GB of RAM. The external memory can be extended by means of microSD card up to 32 GB.


It features Standard Li-Ion 2500mAH battery capable of providing up to 820hrs of standby time and upto 13h and 30 min of talk time on 3G network.

Other Features:

It has a Stereo FM radio with RDS, GPS support with A-GPS and available in Black, White and Pink colors.
