iPhone 4S was clearly the winner over Samsung Galaxy S2 but the launch of Galaxy S3 has pushed the battle between the two giant up a whole new notch. iPhone 4S now seems to have been loosing the charm. Let’s take a look at the specifications and features of both the devices to see if that really is the case.
Size and Design:
The design is one aspect where iPhone4S manages to hold the top spot. iPhone 4S clearly has a much better built compared to the plastic bodied Samsung Galaxy S3. S3 however is bigger yet thinner and much lighter therefore deserve at least some points.
Samsung Galaxy S3 features a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen having a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The 3.5 inch retina eye display of iPhone 4S doesn’t to manage to meet the same class as S3, although it may be more portable but Galaxy S3 stands out on the display front.
Both phones feature excellent 8MP camera with same sensor. Galaxy S3 however has a zero shutter lag and 1.9MP secondry camera compared to 0.3MP secondary camera in iPhone 4S.
Processor and OS:
The Quad Core processor of S3 comes with 1GB of RAM where as the A5 dual Core processor of iPhone 4S is powered by 512MB of RAM. Both the processor do an excellent job but S3 again gains the edge with much higher power and speed.
2100 mAh Li-Ion battery of Samsung S3 is capable of providing up to 790hrs of standby time and up to 11h and 40 min of talk time. The bigger battery of S3 provides three time better standby time and nearly about twice the talktime of iPhone 4S.
Samsung Galaxy S3 is clearly a winner in most of the categories. iPhone no longer has the same crispiness about it as it was a few month back. Surely it is not going to stay the same way and Apple will surely be looking to turn the table round with the release of iPhone 5 this fall.
