Samsung Mobile has announced that it has already sold more than 20 Million Galaxy SIII globally in just 100 days since the Super Smartphone was launched. For the record it has sold 4.5 million units in Asia, 6 million units in Europe, 4 million in North America and 2.5 million in South Korea and the figures are increasing tremendously.
Samsung Galaxy SIII was launched in May this year and it is the “most successful Smartphone” ever in Samsung’s history.
JK Shin, President and Head of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics said in a statement, “The GALAXY S III has enjoyed tremendous attention and popularity since its launch in May, and we are thrilled with its success. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to customers who have chosen the GALAXY S III. We will never stop providing the latest smart mobile technologies to help users live a life extraordinary.”
Samsung’s success is partially also because of their strategy to launch the Galaxy SIII when there were ‘not so good’ competitors in the arena, the ones which this beast had already defeated. But now the scenario is changing, we have the recently launched Nokia Lumia’s running Windows Phone 8 and the critically awaited iPhone 5 which will come out of it’s shell this week. The show-off between these two rivals have always been something to watch out and the clash between Samsung Galaxy SIII vs. the Apple iPhone 5 will be no less.
Samsung Galaxy SIII will also move ahead with an Update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and we will then see the effect it produces in the entire galaxy of Super Smartphones.
