While Samsung’s EVP confirmed that Samsung Galaxy Gear will be launched alongside the next iteration of the Galaxy Note in a pre-IFA Unpacked event on September 4 in Berlin, we have no accurate glimpse of the actual devices. However, folks at @evleaks have leaked the screenshots of the Samsung Galaxy Gear Manager app that will pair your smartphone to the watch via NFC.
The screenshots seem legit and confirm that the Gear will have NFC connectivity. From the screens we also come to know that the model no. of Galaxy Gear will be SM-V700. Users will also be able to change clock faces from the paired smartphone and the presence of Samsung apps indicates that the Samsung store might be coming up with some supported apps for the Galaxy Gear. There is also a Find My Watch option which is indicative that the watch might have GPS or data connectivity because then only can this particular feature work.
Earlier rumors suggests that the Galaxy Gear will have display of 2.5 inches with a tiny speaker on the clasp and an embedded speaker on the strap. In less than a month we will see the actual device and will find more about its features.
