Samsung has launched its Neo series range of devices at the Samsung Forum in Bali which include devices like the Grand Neo, Note 3 Neo & Tab 3 Neo. The Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo is priced at Rs. 18,450 and will stand amongst the newly launched Galaxy Grand 2 and its previous iteration.
Coming to the specifications, the Grand Neo features a 5.01-inch WVGA display which is quite disappointing. Under the hood lies a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 processor supported by 1GB of RAM. The smartphone has an internal memory of 8GB that can be further expanded up to 64GB. Grand Neo is powered by Android 4.2 integrated with TouchWiz customizations.
Additionally, the Grand Neo flaunts a 5 megapixel rear and VGA front facing camera. Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo is a dual-SIM device with 3G, Wi-Fi & Bluetooth 4.0 support and features all the basic set of sensors. The smartphone will draw its power from a 2100 mAh Li-Ion battery.
Samsung has also partnered with Vodafone in India and as an introductory offer, the carrier is offering 1GB of free data usage up to 2 months if one buys the device before 31st of May.
