Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Neo was launched at the Samsung Forum in Bali for a price tag of Rs. 16,490. This is the same tablet that has been launched as Tab 3 lite in other markets.
Given the specifications, the Tab 3 Neo is priced higher taking into consideration the fact that this a just the ‘Wi-Fi variant’ and even classic tab 3 is available for a lesser price. Samsung is just bringing up new devices without focusing on the quality and it seems that the company just want the sales to grow anyhow which can be a problem in price sensitive markets such as ours.
Coming to the specifications, Tab 3 Neo features a 7-inch WSVGA display with a 2 megapixel rear and no secondary camera. The tablet packs in 1.2 GHz Dual Core CPU (unknown chipset) coupled with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory which is further expandable via microSD card. On the software front, it runs Android 4.2 (Jellybean) with TouchWiz customization atop. The Tab 3 Neo will draw its power from a 3600 mAh battery that is rated for up to 8 hours of video playback.
There is a 3G variant too but its price is currently unknown.
