One of the most awaited devices of the year, the Moto 360 smartwatch by Motorola was announced today in India amongst other products by the company. However, Moto 360 will only be available by the end of September in India probably around the same time the Moto X (2nd Generation) is made available to the masses. An Indian price will not be announced till the availability but according to the assumptions, it would cost anywhere near to Rs. 15,000.
Amongst every other smartwatch out there in the market, the Moto 360 stands out to be a real watch as in it’s round almost-circular dial and the leather strap it comes with. The 1.5-inch Gorilla Glass 3 protected LCD display is offered as much as eight comprehensive faces of the dial to choose from. The Moto 360 will come in Light Stainless-Steel case with Grey/Stone Horween leather band or Dark Stainless-Steel case with Black Horween leather band.
The smartwatch is powered by Texas Instruments OMAP 3 processor coupled with 512 MB RAM and an internal memory of 4 GB. It runs on Android Wear and is compatible with the devices that run Android 4.3 and above.
Moto 360 is IP67 certified which means that it will withstand a depth of a meter for a period of 30 minutes. The smartwatch also features built-in pedometer, a heart rate monitor amongst a vibration motor for notifications. Additionally, it will also listen to your voice commands over Bluetooth v4.0.
The device draws its juice from a 320 mAh battery which can also be wirelessly charged. Motorola claims it to stand a 12 hour lifespan until another charge.
